The Academy of European Law (ERA) is organising a seminar in Strasbourg on 20-21 June on ‘The European Convention’s, European Court of Human Rights’ and national
courts’ roles in improving conditions related to detention.’ The seminar will analyse the roles of the European Convention on Human Rights and the
European Court of Human Rights, as well as that of national courts, in
improving conditions related to detention. It is geared towards judges, prosecutors, lawyers in private practice, ministry officials,
and officials from judicial training institutions, prison
