We are very pleased to announce that the editorial team of our blog will
be expanded. As of this week, Dr. Jasmine Sommardal is joining us as associate
editor.
Jasmine Sommardal completed her PhD at the European University Institute on the topic ‘National Security and the European Court of Human Rights: Mediating Challenges through Interdependent Interpretation’. Previously she worked as legal assistant to the former President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr Robert Spano, and the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She was also a visiting researcher at the Hertie School in Berlin. Before joining ECHR Blog, Jasmine held editorial positions at the European Journal of
International Law and the European Journal of Legal Studies.
Her research focuses on the ECtHR and national security, general
doctrines and methodologies of human rights law, and the practice and procedure
of international courts.
